Modular Abstraction - Handbuilding I

A project in Handbuilding I, an introductory level course for students to learn the basics of hand building techniques in clay including but not limited to pinching, coiling, and slab building.

Students were tasked at looking at repetition and patterns found in nature to inspire them to create an abstracted sculpture that incorporates a repeated form throughout it. Students then had the option to use any hand building techniques they wanted to to create said sculpture.
